We embark on our journey early in the morning from Puno, heading via road towards the Bolivian border. As we travel, we pass through Aymara territory, where history and nature blend into a mesmerizing landscape. The expansive Altiplano plateau, with its majestic mountains and the sparkling waters of Lake Titicaca in the distance, serves as our scenic backdrop.

Our first destination is the Chullpas de Molloco archaeological site, a captivating funerary complex in the Puno region of Peru. This site enchants visitors with its unique architecture and ancient mysteries. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it belonged to the mysterious Lupaca culture, a pre-Inca civilization that dominated the highlands before the Inca empire.

Constructed around the 13th century, these chullpas, or funerary towers, are notable for their distinctive design: cylindrical and rectangular forms made from precisely cut stone blocks, reflecting advanced engineering and architectural expertise. Intriguingly, some structures exhibit zoomorphic and geometric reliefs, the meanings of which continue to puzzle researchers.

Located at an altitude of about 4,000 meters above sea level, near the town of Juliaca, these towers stand amidst a landscape of barren hills with breathtaking views of the Altiplano. The site is steeped in myths and legends—some suggest it is an energy portal, while others believe the tombs hide treasures of the ancient Lupaca rulers.

We then proceed to one of the region's most mystical and enigmatic sites: Hayu Marca, also known as Aramu Muru. Situated roughly an hour's drive from downtown Puno, this awe-inspiring location is found at kilometer 75 on the road to Bolivia, within the province of El Collao, south of the district of Ilave, near the magnificent Lake Titicaca.

This sacred site, enveloped by towering rock formations sculpted over time, has been revered since ancient times as a potent ceremonial center. Its most mysterious feature is a flawlessly carved stone structure set into the rock, measuring 7 meters on each side, known as the "Gate of the Four Dimensions."

According to local lore, this enigmatic gate conceals one of the Andes' best-kept secrets. Legend suggests that the golden solar disk, an ancient artifact of immense power, will emerge at this site when humanity is prepared to receive it. For centuries, shamans and spiritual seekers have visited here to connect with ancestral energies, believing the gate could be a portal to other dimensions.
