The journey to the Blue Lagoon begins with a pickup from your hotel in Tarapoto, heading towards the district of Sauce, situated 32 miles south of the city. After a two-hour drive and crossing the Huallaga River, you will arrive at the town of Sauce, positioned at 614 meters above sea level.

The route from Tarapoto to Sauce is truly breathtaking, offering mesmerizing views of lush green forests. We will pause at the Punta de Gallinazo viewpoint, an excellent spot to appreciate the Huallaga River and the expansive Amazon jungle within the San Martin region.

The pristine waters of Blue Lake are warm, owing to its location near an inactive volcano. You can swim in the lake without any issues, making it ideal for sport fishing or swimming.

You will board a motorboat for a tour of this stunning area, surrounded by forest and local wildlife. After an hour, the boat will dock at a tourist site where you'll have time to swim and unwind on the lake's shores.
