Tour Description

We will pick you up from your hotel in the city of Tarapoto and head towards AltoMayo, renowned as one of the most stunning locations on Earth. This area is a haven for birdwatchers, offering breathtaking views of lush greenery, spectacular waterfalls, underground caves for exploration, and soothing hot springs.

The journey to the Alto Mayo Valley begins in the city of Rioja, situated 87 miles north of Tarapoto. After a scenic drive of over two hours, we will reach the source of the Tioyacu river.

This charming recreational site invites you to swim in the crystal-clear waters of the River Yacu or stroll across the wooden bridge, all while soaking in the serene natural surroundings.

Following our visit to Tio Yacu, we will proceed to the tourist attraction known as Chacra Vieja. Here, you can sample traditional beverages and purchase local crafts.
