Descripción del Tour
Early in the morning, we will depart from your Cusco hotel via private transport to the Poroy Train Station. Here begins our extraordinary journey on one of the world's most spectacular trains, the Hiram Bingham Train, offering a first-class experience.
The train's classic elegance is beautifully complemented by the dining room setup, allowing us to savor exquisite dishes crafted by skilled chefs. We will indulge in a welcome drink and a gourmet lunch. Don't miss the opportunity to try the Pisco Sour, a traditional local cocktail featuring Pisco.
The train comprises two dining cars, an observation/bar car, and a kitchen car, accommodating up to 84 passengers. The journey from Poroy takes approximately 3 hours.
The scenery is breathtaking, offering views of stunning mountains and unique flora, including the Veronica Snowy. As we follow the Urubamba River, drawing closer to the canyon, we will arrive at the town of Aguas Calientes, situated in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. From there, a short bus ride up the winding road will take us to the sacred Inca citadel: Machu Picchu.
The Lost City of the Incas will captivate us with its terraces, ceremonial shrines, steps, and the solar clock known as Intihuatana, along with the Sun Gate or Inti Punku. All of this will be experienced in a unique atmosphere during a guided tour. Machu Picchu was constructed under the reign of Inca Pachacutec around 1450 A.D., serving as both an urban and religious center.
Machu Picchu, located at an altitude of 2,400 meters above sea level in a subtropical zone, was discovered by Hiram Bingham in 1911 and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983.
Following a delightful tea time at a luxury hotel with stunning mountain views, we will board the train back to Cusco, enjoying on-board entertainment and an exquisite gourmet dinner.
Upon our arrival at Poroy Train Station, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cusco city.
