Tour Description

We will collect you from your hotel situated in the historic center of Arequipa. Our journey will proceed towards Yura, skirting the Chachani Volcano, until we reach the ghost town of Pampa de Arrieros. This location served as the entry point for travelers arriving by train to the white city.

We will pause briefly at the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, a remarkable area rich in wildlife, including vicuñas, guanacos, and llamas. Here, you will also enjoy breathtaking landscapes framed by volcanoes.

After having a snack, we will continue along the Arequipa-Puno road to reach the Stone Forest of Imata, located in the San Antonio de Chuca district, within Caylloma province, at an elevation of 4,300 meters. From this point, we will begin our walking tour through this extraordinary forest, home to rock formations of volcanic origin, offering a stunning display of abstract art.

The tour will proceed to the Pillones waterfalls. Situated at 4,600 meters above sea level, this tourist attraction allows us to observe Andean birds like swallows and various duck species. You are welcome to explore the area, reaching the lower regions where the rocks are, and capture photos with the spectacular scenery.

Finally, we will return to our starting point and board the tourist transport to head back to the city. On our way, there will be an optional stop for lunch. Concluding our journey, we will drop you off at your hotel.
