Descripción del Tour
Upon your arrival at the designated meeting point in the city of Arequipa, we will commence this incredible cooking class in Arequipa with a refreshing welcome drink known as Chicha Morada. This delightful beverage is crafted from purple corn and is non-alcoholic.
This exceptional culinary journey kicks off with the creation of two traditional Peruvian dishes. Our professional chef will guide us through each step of the cooking process. Before we dive in, we'll don our aprons and chef hats to prepare some scrumptious meals!
Participants will have the opportunity to master the preparation of one of the following menu options:
* Andean Menu: Begin with a refreshing salad known as “Solterito,” which includes onion, tomato, corn, beans, cheese, and potatoes. The main course is “Rocoto Relleno,” featuring hot peppers stuffed with ground meat seasoned with spices, cheese, and raisins. The rocoto is a notably spicy red fruit, resembling an apple in shape.
* Traditional Menu: The first course is a flavorful “Causa,” a dish made with mashed potatoes seasoned with yellow pepper and lemon, filled with avocado and tuna or chicken, and garnished with black olives and vegetables. Experience one of the most delectable Peruvian dishes. The main dish is a succulent “Lomo Saltado,” a traditional Chinese-Peruvian fusion dish cooked in a wok. It consists of beef, onion, yellow pepper, tomato, and French fries, served with a side of white rice.
* Sea Menu: This menu offers something special. We will prepare “Ceviche” as the first course, featuring fresh fish marinated in lemon juice and accompanied by onion, sweet potato, and corn. The second course is “Pescado a lo Macho,” a delightful fried fish fillet topped with a savory sauce of onions and tomatoes, served with a side of white rice.
Relish the cooking class as you share your travel stories with the group and the Peruvian chef, creating an enjoyable and interactive experience.
At the conclusion of the class, we will savor the dishes we've prepared, followed by a dessert.
