This exciting circuit is nestled in Saucepampa Santa Teresa, within the province of La Convencion, just 17 miles from Machu Picchu and 136 miles from Cusco city. The location is accessible by road from Cusco, with a route that passes through the town of Santa Maria first.
Santa Teresa is a notable stop on the alternate path to the Inca citadel, famed for the Cocalmayo hot springs along the Vilcanota River. Other routes to reach the city of Machu Picchu include the train to Aguas Calientes, the Inca Trail, or an 8-hour trek from the hydroelectric station.
