Descripción del Tour:

In the early hours of the morning, at 3:30 a.m., we will collect you from your hotel in the city of Cusco. Our shared transportation will embark on a 3.5-hour journey through breathtaking landscapes of untamed desert panoramas, snow-covered peaks, and herds of alpacas.

Upon reaching the trailhead, a hot breakfast awaits, marking the start of our hike from Chillihuani, situated at an elevation of 4,200 meters above sea level / 13,900 feet. The trek involves a 4-hour uphill hike leading to the renowned Rainbow Mountain in Peru.

Throughout the journey, you'll be captivated by the stunning landscapes of the Andes, glaciers, the red valley, rocky hills, and traditional llamas and alpacas grazing peacefully. As we reach the mountain's peak, Andean wildlife, including Vicuñas—often referred to as the Andean camel—may be spotted. Unique to this region in Cusco, Vicuñas belong to the same family as llamas and alpacas and are known for having the world's most luxurious wool.

Upon reaching the summit of the Rainbow Mountain, ample time is available for photography and relaxation at high altitudes, enjoying the majestic views. The Ausangate Mountain, Cusco's tallest peak (nearly 21,000 feet) and part of the Vilcanota Range, stands prominently before us.

As we explore this remarkable location, our tour guide will provide fascinating insights into the geological formation of these vibrant mountains, which developed their striking colors over millions of years.

After capturing incredible photographs and absorbing the vistas—potentially catching sight of a few condors—we'll begin our descent, a 2-hour downhill hike. We will then reunite with our transport and head to a local restaurant to savor a delicious hot lunch.

Finally, we will return to Cusco, arriving around 5:00 p.m., where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
