Classic Tour Peru And Amazon Jungle

DAY 1. LIMA: Arrive in Lima, followed by a private transfer with a driver to your hotel. Overnight stay.

DAY 2. LIMA / PUERTO MALDONADO: Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Proceed to the airport for your flight to Puerto Maldonado.

Upon arrival at Puerto Maldonado Airport, embark on a short city tour before heading to "Puerto Capitanía" to board a motorboat for a two-hour journey into the jungle.

Check into the lodge, savor lunch, and later explore Cocha Caiman lagoon to spot black and white caimans. Relish the stunning sunset and vibrant sky. Return to the lodge for dinner and rest.

DAY 3. PUERTO MALDONADO: Wake up to the soothing sounds of the jungle. Enjoy breakfast before setting off on a trek to the heart of the jungle, reaching the magnificent Lake Apu Victor, characterized by its clear waters and breathtaking scenery.

Ascend the Amazon lookout to admire the diverse Peruvian jungle, rich in flora and fauna. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, visit Monkey Island in the Madre de Dios River, observing various monkeys and wildlife. Enjoy the sunset and return to the lodge for dinner.

DAY 4. PUERTO MALDONADO / CUSCO: After breakfast, travel back to Puerto Maldonado for your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Spend the afternoon at your leisure. Overnight stay.

DAY 5. CITY TOUR CUSCO:

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. We’ll pick you up to start a half-day tour, visiting the Temple of Coricancha, also known as the Golden Temple.

Next, visit the Cusco Cathedral in Plaza de Armas to admire the Cusco School's religious paintings.

The tour continues to Sacsayhuaman, a remarkable site with intricately carved stone walls. Visit the Qenqo temple, where the Incas honored deities like the Sun, Moon, and Earth.

Proceed to Puca Pucara, the "Red Fortress," and then to Tambomachay, known for its aqueducts and waterfalls. The tour concludes at El Regocijo Square, near Plaza de Armas. Overnight stay.

DAY 6. CUSCO / SACRED VALLEY / CUSCO: Breakfast at the hotel. Begin your journey to Pisac, renowned for its vibrant market and stone temples offering stunning valley views.

Continue to Urubamba for a buffet lunch, then head to Ollantaytambo, a site with significant Inca history.

Visit Chinchero, known for its colorful market featuring traditional crafts. Return to Cusco and overnight at El Regocijo Square.

DAY 7. CUSCO / MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO: Early morning departure from Cusco to Poroy train station. Board the train to Machu Picchu, a journey of over 3 hours to Aguas Calientes. From there, a bus takes you to the entrance of the Machu Picchu Citadel.

Explore this incredible archaeological site with a guided tour, observing the diverse flora and fauna. Use your free time to take photos or optionally climb Huayna Picchu for panoramic views.

Return to Aguas Calientes train station for your journey back to Cusco, arriving at Poroy and transferring to the hotel.

DAY 8. CUSCO / PUNO: Breakfast at the hotel, then transfer to the bus station for a scenic journey to Puno. First stop is Andahuaylillas, known for its "Sistine Chapel" with gold leaf decorations.

Continue to the Raqchi archaeological site, home to the Temple of Wiracocha. Enjoy a buffet lunch in Sicuani, then stop at La Raya Pass, the highest point of the tour.

Visit the Pucara Museum, showcasing the Pucara culture's artifacts. Conclude the bus journey to Puno and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay.

DAY 9. PUNO: Following breakfast, transfer to Puno's lake port to visit the Uros floating islands, made from the totora plant.

Continue to Taquile Island, a Quechua-speaking community with Inca heritage. Participate in a cultural activity and enjoy lunch before returning to Puno. Overnight stay.

DAY 10. PUNO / AREQUIPA: Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the bus station for a journey to Arequipa. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Free afternoon and overnight stay.

DAY 11. AREQUIPA: Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a free morning. In the afternoon, explore Arequipa's colonial district of San Lazaro, the city's founding site.

Visit the Main Square, the majestic Arequipa Cathedral, and the Church Compañía de Jesús. Continue to Santa Catalina Monastery and then to Yanahuara and Carmen Alto for panoramic views.

Explore Cayma district, visiting Plaza Mayor and the Church San Miguel Arcángel de Cayma. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.

DAY 12. AREQUIPA / LIMA: Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. In the evening, visit the Larco Museum with a knowledgeable guide.
