Tour Description

DAY 1.

As soon as you arrive in Chiclayo, our driver will be ready to greet you at the airport or bus station and escort you to your centrally located hotel.

In the afternoon, your tour begins with a visit to the Paseo de las Musas, an ideal spot for family gatherings and leisurely walks.

This park, established between 1994 and 1995, features various squares adorned with lush gardens and vibrant flowers, along with sculptures of nine muses from Greek mythology crafted by sculptor Miguel Ángel Díaz Dávila.

The Chiclayo tour proceeds to the Main Park, as there is no Plaza de Armas due to the lack of historical battles in the area. Here, enjoy panoramic views of shopping centers, the old cinema, and the striking Cathedral.

The Cathedral of Chiclayo, or Santa María Cathedral, began construction in 1869 and was completed in 1939 after funding shortages. Designed by Gustavo Eiffel, it showcases a neoclassical architectural style.

Your tour continues to the Municipal Palace, a historical monument from the republican era, featuring temporary photography exhibitions in its elegant halls.

The excursion wraps up with a visit to the Witchcraft Market of Chiclayo, offering a variety of products related to witchcraft, reflecting Peru’s rich tradition in shamanism for healing ailments, lovesickness, the evil eye, and more.

You'll have time to explore this intriguing market before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 2.

Join us on an archaeological journey with our exclusive tour of the Túcume Pyramids and Royal Tombs of Sipán Museum.

Discover the enigmatic archaeological complex of Túcume, located just 30 kilometers north of the city. Known as the valley of the pyramids, this site will captivate you with its 26 truncated adobe pyramids surrounding the majestic La Raya hill. These pyramids bear witness to the ancient Lambayeque, Chimú, and Inca cultures, each leaving their mark on this remarkable location.

Delve into the fascinating area of Huaca Larga, which evolved over 500 years and numerous generations. Here lies the impressive Temple of the Sacred Stone from the Inca period, housing the funerary remains of a significant ruler.

Our next stop is the Royal Tombs of Sipán Museum, an optional visit that immerses you in a world of opulence and grandeur. This museum, inspired by the truncated pyramids of the Moche culture, showcases an extraordinary collection of artifacts discovered in the tombs of the era's most prominent rulers, including the legendary Lord of Sipán. Gold, ceramics, and meticulously crafted garments await you in this captivating archaeological treasure trove.

Upon concluding this incredible tour, we will return you to your hotel in the city. The remainder of the afternoon is free, followed by an overnight stay.

DAY 3.

Begin your day at the impressive archaeological complex of Huaca Rajada, where you will be transported back in time as you explore the tomb that guarded the renowned Lord of Sipán, a prominent ruler of the Mochica culture from the third century. This is your chance to closely witness the legacy of a fascinating pre-Columbian civilization that thrived on Peru's northern coast.

The Moche culture will enchant you with its highly esteemed art and architecture. Immerse yourself in a realm of mystery and splendor as you uncover the wonders at the heart of this ancient civilization. The Lord of Sipán, a revered archaeological icon, will captivate you with his story and the mysteries that endure.

The Lord of Sipán was a Moche ruler who lived over 1,500 years ago in what is now northern Peru. His discovery in the richest tomb in Latin America revolutionized archaeology and unveiled a unique perspective on the ancient Moche civilization.

After experiencing the wonders of Huaca Rajada, we invite you to the Site Museum at Huaca Rajada. Here, you'll marvel at the treasures and artifacts associated with the Lord of Sipán and the Moche culture. Experts will guide you through the history and significance of each piece, unveiling intriguing details about the life and beliefs of this ancient civilization.
